Welcome to the UNAM Data Science Alumni Society (SECiD). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Services.
These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and SECiD. We recommend carefully reading all terms before using our services.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or third parties for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.

While we strive to keep our Services available, we do not guarantee they will be available at all times. Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
4. Registration and Account
4.1 Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be 18 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent
- Be an alumnus, current student, or related to the data science field
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your access credentials

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

- A secure password
4.3 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account and password
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us about any unauthorized use
- Keeping your contact information updated
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 Permitted Conduct
You may use our Services for:
- Legitimate professional networking
- Searching or posting real job opportunities
- Participating in community events and activities

9.2 Termination by SECiD

Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Services ends immediately
- We may delete or retain your information according to our Privacy Policy
- Provisions that by their nature should survive will continue in effect

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We offer no express or implied warranties about the Services.
10.2 Limitation of Damages
In no event shall SECiD be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, incurred by you or third parties.
10.3 Total Liability Limit
Our total liability to you for any claim related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to SECiD in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10.4 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SECiD from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Jurisdiction
Any dispute related to these Terms or the Services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mexico City.
11.3 Dispute Resolution
We encourage amicable resolution of disputes. If you have a complaint, please contact us first to try to resolve the matter informally.
11.4 Time Limitation
Any claim related to these Terms must be brought within one year after the cause of action arises.

12.2 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified by:

- In-app notification (if applicable)
Your continued use of the Services after posting changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12.3 General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and SECiD
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the others remain in force
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights without our consent
