What is SECiD?
SECiD (Data Science Alumni Society) is Mexico's largest professional network for UNAM Data Science graduates. We connect talent, opportunities, and knowledge to boost our members' professional development.
Who can join SECiD?
SECiD is open to all graduates from UNAM's Data Science programs, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. We also accept final-year students and professionals related to the field.
What is the membership cost?
We offer different membership types: Basic (free) with limited access, and Premium ($99 MXN/month) with full access to all features, exclusive events, and premium job opportunities.
Account & Profile
How do I create my professional profile?
After registering, access your dashboard and complete your profile with professional information, skills, experience, and portfolio. A complete profile increases your visibility to recruiters.
Can I change my email address?
Yes, you can update your email address from your account settings. For security, we'll send a verification email to the new address.
How do I recover my password?
On the login page, click "Forgot your password?" and enter your registered email. We'll send you instructions to reset it.
Job Board
How do I post a job opening?
Companies can post job openings from the employer dashboard. Complete the form with job details, requirements, and benefits. Job postings are reviewed before publication.
How long do job postings remain active?
Standard job postings remain active for 30 days. Premium employers can extend this period or republish jobs at no additional cost.
How do I apply for a job?
Click "Apply" on the job posting you're interested in. Your profile and CV will be sent to the recruiter. You can track your applications from your dashboard.
Events & Networking
What types of events do you organize?
We organize technical webinars, practical workshops, conferences, hackathons, and networking events. Events can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid.
Do events have a cost?
Many events are free for members. Premium or limited-capacity events may have an additional cost, with discounts for premium members.
How do I register for an event?
Visit the events section, select the event you're interested in, and click "Register". You'll receive confirmation by email with access details.
Technical Support
Which browsers are supported?
SECiD works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.
Is there a mobile app?
We don't currently have a mobile app, but our website is fully responsive and works perfectly on mobile devices.
How do I report a technical issue?
You can report technical issues through the contact form or by sending an email to support@secid.mx with a detailed description of the problem.
